Hygiene’s accreditation to a number of nationally recognised standards and institutions provides the Group with a tried and tested framework to produce quality and training systems. This is subject to external auditing to ensure that, as a minimum, Hygiene is attaining these national standards.
ISO 9001:2000/ISO 14001:2004
Hygiene is structured around ISO 9001:2000/ISO 14001:2004. There are different quality systems used in the food industry but these accreditations allow us to standardise our procedures and documentation across all sites and clients and can be integrated into site-specific systems.
BS OHSAS 18001:2007
Hygiene is currently seeking to gain accreditation for its health and safety management system under BS OHSAS 18001:2007. The standard specifies the requirement for an Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management system, to enable an organisation to control its OH&S risks and improve its performance – and is increasingly adopted as the basis for national standards for occupational health and safety management systems.
